Russia patents new portable multiple rocket launcher

The lightweight portable multiple rocket launcher is used to fire with reduced rollover effects and shorter intervals between launches

MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. Specialists at the V. A. Degtyarev Plant have patented a portable multiple rocket launcher with detachable container pods, TASS has reviewed the relevant document.

"The invention relates to rocket launchers. The lightweight portable multiple rocket launcher is used to fire with reduced rollover effects and shorter intervals between launches," states the description in the patent application.

According to the document, the tripod-mounted launcher includes a replaceable module for launching multiple rockets, each equipped with independent compensating springs and container pods attached to them via frames.

The missiles are launched sequentially. The document specifies that the compensating springs will reduce the overturning effect caused by the projectiles. The multiple launch rocket system is controlled remotely.
