Russia, India may partner in drones development and production

An obvious competitive advantage of Russian drones offered for export is the fact that their technical development relies on the experience of real use in high-intensity combat warfare, in conditions of being countered by modern air defense systems, the spokesperson noted

BANGALORE, February 14. /TASS/. Joint development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles may be an area of the Russian-Indian technology collaboration, a spokesperson of the Russian arms export agency Rosoboronexport told TASS.

"Collaborative development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles can be one of the areas of the Russian-Indian technology partnership," the spokesperson said.

An obvious competitive advantage of Russian drones offered for export is the fact that their technical development relies on the experience of real use in high-intensity combat warfare, in conditions of being countered by modern air defense systems, the spokesperson noted. Another strong side of Russian export proposals in the drone and drone counteraction sphere is the high level of openness to technological cooperation.

"Russia is ready to offer Indian partners collaboration in the drone sphere, which may comprise development of drones, localization of their production, transfer of technologies and creation of joint ventures and service centers, including regional ones," he added.
