Russian air defenses down 17 Olkha rockets over Belgorod Region — Defense Ministry

According to the ministry, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack on targets in Russia using Olkha rockets was thwarted

MOSCOW, January 2. /TASS/. Russian air defenses destroyed 17 Olkha rockets over the Belgorod Region, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"An attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack on targets in Russia using Olkha rockets was thwarted on January 2. On-duty air defenses destroyed four rockets over the Belgorod Region," the statement reads.

Later Russian air defense destroyed five more Ukrainian Olkha rockets over the region.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Russian air defenses also downed another eight Olkha rockets fired by the Ukrainian armed forces over the region.
