Iskander system capable of carrying nuclear missiles transferred to Belarus — Shoigu

MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. The Iskander-M tactical missile system capable of carrying conventional and nuclear missiles has been transferred to the Belarusian Armed Forces, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Tuesday.

"In addition, the Iskander-M tactical missile system has been transferred to the Belarusian Armed Forces. It is capable of using both conventional and nuclear missiles," Russia’s defense chief said during a conference call with top Russian military commanders.

According to Shoigu, Belarusian crews started training on the system at a Russian testing ground to protect the Union State on April 3.

Also, the Russian defense minister said, some of Belarusian attack aircraft are now capable of striking enemy facilities with nuclear weapons.
