Russian army eliminates logistics terminal with foreign weapons near Odessa

Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov added that missile troops, artillery hit 102 Ukrainian military targets

MOSCOW, April 23. /TASS/. Using high-precision missiles, Russia’s armed forces destroyed a logistics terminal at a military airfield near Odessa, where foreign weapons were stored, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov said on Saturday.

"This afternoon, using long-range high-precision air-based missiles of Russia’s Aerospace Forces, a logistics terminal at a military airfield near Odessa was eliminated where a large batch of foreign weapons received from the US and European countries was stored," the spokesman said.

He added that Russia’s missile troops and artillery hit 102 Ukrainian military targets during the day, including 6 command posts and 10 artillery batteries. "During the day, missile troops and artillery fulfilled 102 combat tasks. Destroyed: 6 command posts, 84 strongholds and areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment as well as 10 artillery clusters," he said.

According to the spokesman, in the vicinity of Izyum and Kherson, Russia’s air defense systems destroyed 3 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, including one Bayraktar TB2 over Lozovaya in the Kharkov Region.

Also Russian aviation strikes 79 Ukrainian military targets, including 52 areas of concentration of manpower and military equipment, including three Buk-M1 systems in the vicinity of Kurakhovka and Romanovka and one Tor missile system near Sergeyevka. Also four artillery missile systems were also destroyed. "During the day, the tactical and combat aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces has delivered strikes on 79 Ukraine’s military targets. They include six command posts, 52 areas of concentration of manpower and Ukrainian military equipment, as well as 16 warehouses of rocket and artillery armaments, munitions and fuel," he said.

According to him, three warehouses with armaments, military equipment and munitions were destroyed in the vicinity of Ilyichevka and Kramatorsk. "In the vicinity of the community of Novaya Dmitrovka, as a result of a strike, a Buk-M1 missile complex and three radio-location stations were destroyed," he added.

Konashenkov added that the Russian Army has delivered strikes on 22 Ukrainian military targets with high-precision air-based missiles of the Russian Aerospace Forces, up to 200 nationalists were eliminated. "During the day, the high-precision air-based missiles of the Russian Aerospace Forces delivered strikes on 22 Ukrainian military targets. This includes two battalion command and observation posts and one brigade command post, 11 strongholds as well as the areas of concentration of manpower and Ukrainian military equipment. The nationalists’ losses amounted up to 200 personnel and over 30 units of armored equipment and vehicles," the spokesman said.

According to Konashenkov, since the beginning of the special military operation Russia’s armed forces have eliminated 141 planes, 110 helicopters, 541 unmanned aerial vehicles, 264 missile systems, 2,479 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 278 multiple-launch rocket systems, 1,081 field artillery weapons and mortars, as well as 2,321 units of special military automotive equipment.
