Jabhat al-Nusra group impeding ceasefire in Syria - Russia’s reconciliation center

Over the past 24 hours, terrorists opened fire at the settlements of Bahariyah, Marj Sultan, Blelije, Jarash, and Adra in the Damascus province

MOSCOW, June 26. /TASS/. Units of Jabhat al-Nusra international terrorist organization () continue making attempts to undermine the ceasefire regime in Syria, Russia’s center for reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria said in its regular daily news bulletin on Saturday.

Over the past 24 hours, terrorists opened fire at the settlements of Bahariyah, Marj Sultan, Blelije, Jarash, and Adra in the Damascus province, said the bulletin posted on the Russian defense ministry’s website.

"Terrorists have also shelled Handrat inhabited area (Aleppo province), Sheikh Maqsood, al-Zagra, al-Khalidiyah, al-Muhafaza, and Meidan quarters, and Maddafi hills in the Aleppo city with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and mortars," it said.

One more ceasefire agreement made in Syria

In news bulletin also said that a new truce agreement was made to expand the ceasefire regime in Syria but provocations of terrorists continue.

"A truce agreement was made during the day with representatives of a settlement in Aleppo Province. The number of settlements joining the reconciliation process increased to 163," the Center reports.

Negotiations on ceasefire regime continue with armed opposition warlords in Damask, Al Qunaitra and Aleppo Provinces, the Center said. "The number of armed groups declaring their commitment to ceasefire conditions remains unchanged - 61," the bulletin said.

Russian Aerospace Forces and Syria’s Air Force did not deliver strikes on armed opposition stating ceasefire and reporting their location data to the Russian or the US reconciliation centers, the Center said.
