Kremlin expects relations with US to improve 'sooner or later'

Peskov declined to comment on media reports saying that the US Democrat senators planned to set up a commission for investigating into Donald Trump’s alleged contacts with Russian intelligence

MOSCOW, February 16. /TASS/. The lack of normal relations between Russia and the United States hampers the process of settling a number of problems requiring global attention, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"We hope that sooner or later our relations with Washington will start to improve, that is where we stand now," the Kremlin spokesman said. According to Peskov, "there are a lot of problems and we are losing time instead of solving them." He added that neither the US nor Russia were capable of solving this kind of problems alone.

Peskov declined to comment on media reports saying that the US Democrat senators planned to set up a commission for investigating into US President Donald Trump’s alleged contacts with Russian intelligence.

"I have not heard such statements. It is their internal affair, there is no need for us to evaluate it," the Kremlin spokesman said.
