MOSCOW, February 15. /TASS/. Attempts to make a noise about former US National Security Adviser Michael Flynn’s alleged ties to Russia are aimed at covering up Hillary Clinton’s mistakes, US President Donald Trump said on Twitter.
"This Russian connection non-sense is merely an attempt to cover-up the many mistakes made in Hillary Clinton’s losing campaign," he tweeted.

According to Trump, the information about Flynn’s conversation with the Russian ambassador to the US was provided to the media by the intelligence community.
"Information is being illegally given to the failing New York Times and the Washington Post by the intelligence community (NSA and FBI?). Just like Russia," he said in another tweet.

The US president also thanked Bloomberg View columnist Eli Lake who had criticized the intelligence services for disclosing the information to the media. "Thank you to Eli Lake of The Bloomberg View - "The NSA & FBI...should not interfere in our politics...and is" Very serious situation for USA," Trump wrote.
