BANGKOK, December 5. /TASS/. Russia and Thailand agreed the Russian Federation will open an information center in the kingdom in 2015-2016 to support development of nuclear sciences and energy, Russia’s Trade Representative in Thailand Oleg Maslennikov told TASS on Friday.
“At the initial stage, we plan organizing in Thailand use of nuclear isotopes in medicine, and further on — construction of a nuclear power plant,” he said.
In September, Russia’s nuclear energy corporation Rosatom signed with Thailand a memorandum on mutual understanding. The countries will develop cooperation in radio isotopes, nuclear security and radioactive waste.
