Qatar, African nations in arms procurement talks with Russia — presidential aide

KUBINKA, December 21. /TASS/. Russia obtained new partners in the military-technical cooperation sphere, including Qatar, Presidential Aide for Military-Technical Cooperation Vladimir Kozhin said on Thursday.

"We experienced changes last year. Partners appeared, in respect of whom we could not even dreamed several years ago that they would buy our arms. These are Qatar and certain countries of the African continent," Kozhin said at the annual ceremony of Golden Idea award in the defense and technology cooperation sphere.

This award is called to annually mark the best of the best in development and promotion of Russian defense products, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugaev said earlier.
