Chinese top diplomat’s visit to Russia postponed

The visit was originally scheduled for March 27-28

MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit to Moscow has been postponed due to changes in the Russian leaders’ schedule. A new date will be agreed later, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

"Due to changes in the working schedule of the Russian leaders, it was decided to postpone a working visit to Russia by Chinese Foreign Minister and member of the State Council Wang Yi to a later date," the ministry said. "A new date of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels."

The visit was originally scheduled for March 27-28. Wang Yi was expected to meet with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, to exchange views on the current state of and future prospect for strategic partnership between the two states and discuss a schedule of further top-and high-level contacts.
