Syrian governmental delegation arrives for Geneva talks

The eighth round of the intra-Syrian talks began in Geneva on November 28

GENEVA, December 10. /TASS/. A delegation of Syria's government, led by the country's Ambassador to the UN Bashar Jaafari, arrived in Geneva on Sunday to participate in the talks, TASS correspondent reported from the site.

The delegation's head chose not to answer questions from reporters regarding whether the delegation would be ready to participate in direct talks with the opposition.

The eighth round of the intra-Syrian talks began in Geneva on November 28. The governmental delegation arrived later, and on December 2 it returned to Damascus for consultations. The current stage will continue to December 15.
