KIEV, February 17. /TASS/. Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko, who is currently on a visit to Germany to attend the Munich Security Conference, and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson have discussed the situation in Donbass in a telephone conversation, Poroshenko’s press secretary Svyatoslav Tsegolko said.
"Poroshenko and Tillerson discussed the deteriorating situation in Donbass," he wrote on Facebook. Besides, according to Tsegolko, the parties "mapped out steps aimed at strengthening strategic partnership between Kiev and Washington."
Tsegolko added that the US Secretary of State had briefed Poroshenko on the results of the G20 ministerial meeting and emphasized the importance of implementing the Minsk agreements.
Poroshenko, in turn, invited Tillerson to visit Ukraine.
