Over 3,500 civilians in Syria get Russian aid in past day — reconciliation center

In the past 24 hours, the Russian center for the reconciliation of the warring sides conducted eight humanitarian missions

HMEIMIM /Syria/, February 17. /TASS/. Eight humanitarian missions to deliver assistance to 3,590 Syrian civilians were held by the Russian reconciliation center in Syria in the past 24 hours, the center said in a statement.

"In the past 24 hours, the Russian center for the reconciliation of the warring sides conducted eight humanitarian missions: five in Aleppo, two in Latakia and one in the city of Saidnaya of the Damascus province," the center said.

A total of three metric tons of food and 1.5 metric tons of medicines were delivered to the city of Latakia.

Russian planes also airdropped a total of 20.6 metric tons of UN food assistance to the besieged city of Deir ez-Zor.
