BAKU, November 15. /TASS/. Relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are a strategic partnership, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov, has told Spain’s EFE news agency.
"As for relations with Russia, they are a strategic partnership," the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry quotes him as saying on Tuesday. The minister noted that "more than 500 Russian companies are operating in Azerbaijan, 200 of them with purely Russian capital, while 300 are working as joint ventures."
Mammadyarov added that one of the priorities of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy is the development of cooperation with Latin American countries. "Over the past few years, Azerbaijan and Latin American countries have made solid efforts to develop and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation," he said.
