BEIJING, October 31. /TASS/. The upcoming official visit of Chinese State Council Premier Li Keqiang to Russia is of great importance for the development of bilateral cooperation, China’s Assistant Foreign Minister Li Huilai said on Monday.
"The visit of Premier Li Keqiang to Russia will contribute to further development of bilateral relations," the diplomat said, stressing that the trip is "crucial for deepening relations between the two countries and advancing trans-border cooperation."
The agenda of the visit includes issues of "expanding trade and economic cooperation," he said. A range of documents will be signed for cooperation in such areas as trade and investments, aviation, agriculture, energy, customs control, education and mass media.
"We are convinced that the visit of Premier Li Keqiang to Russia will be successful thanks to joint efforts of both sides," the diplomat said.
Li Keqiang is due to pay an official visit to Russia on November 6-8 and attend the 21st regular meeting of the heads of government of Russia and China, to be held in St. Petersburg November 7.
