BRUSSELS, September 30. /TASS/. Situation in Syria may be chosen as a topic for discussion at a conference of NATO defense ministers that will be held in Brussels on October 26-27, a source at the mission of a member-state of the North-Atlantic pact told TASS.

"The intensification of fighting in Syria may be taken up at the defense ministers' conference in the context of a decision to dispatch AWACS reconnaissance jets to the region," the source said.
