MOSCOW, June 7. /TASS/. The next US president will take relations with Moscow seriously, US Ambassador to Russia John Tefft wrote on the VK social network on Tuesday as he answered the users’ questions.
Tefft reminded that Hillary Clinton has secured enough delegates to win the Democratic Party nomination. "This is a historic day as she is the first woman to become a presidential candidate from a major party," he said.
"There are five more long months of election campaign ahead, but now it seems that the elections will be between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton," the ambassador said.
"I can assure you that regardless of who will be our next president, he or she will take our relations with Russia seriously," Tefft said.
