ASTANA, December 25. /TASS/. Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev called to stop politicians who stir up the fratricidal conflict in Ukraine.

“The root of all problems and troubles in Ukraine is absence of stability and nationwide accord,” Nazarbayev said during a video conference.

“Political struggles have been continuing for decades. Now they are escalating into an armed conflict. Do you think that an ordinary person left his house, took a spade and went to war? No such thing. Politicians stir up a fratricidal conflict,” Nazarbayev said.

“They should be stopped without any shouts about democracy and so on. For the sake of the people of the country,” he said.

In order to settle the crisis in Ukraine it is necessary to involve leaders of the countries concerned. “I urge all leaders of states to meet in person, sit down to talk, stop this ‘bacchanalia’ and return to a normal life,” Nazarbayev said.

The people of Kazakhstan should draw an important conclusion from the situation in Ukraine. “Only consensus and stability allowed us to achieve what we have achieved. Let’s value and take care of it. If there are people who wish to destroy it, we should use all our experience to stop them,” Nazarbayev said.
