TEL AVIV, October 30. /TASS/. Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Thursday described Sweden’s recognition of the State of Palestine as “regrettable.”
Lieberman said Sweden’s step considerably complicated the efforts on the Middle East settlement.
“The Swedish government’s decision to recognize the State of Palestine is a regrettable step, which will only strengthen extremist elements,” the Israeli Foreign Ministry said.
Earlier in the day, the government of Sweden formally recognized the State of Palestine.
