Ukrainian forces deploy armored fighting vehicles to contact line - Lugansk militias

Militias spokesman Andrei Marochko stressed that Kiev continues destabilizing the situation in the region

LUGANSK, October 28. /TASS/. Ukraine’s forces have deployed a convoy of Ural trucks and armored fighting vehicles to the contact line near Stanitsa Luganskaya, a spokesman for the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic militias Andrei Marochko said.

"A convoy of equipment consisting of three Ural trucks and two BTR 80 armored fighting vehicles has arrived in the responsibility zone of the 59th mechanized infantry brigade," Marochko told the LuganskInformCenter.

The spokesman stressed that Kiev continues destabilizing the situation in the region by redeploying its equipment close to the Donbass contact line.

A new ceasefire came into effect in the Donbass region on the midnight of August 29. The agreement had been reached on August 22 in Minsk by the Trilateral Contact Group members who made a statement on truce along the contact line at the beginning of the school year. However, according to the DPR, Ukraine’s forces violated the new ceasefire three hours after its launch by shelling the outskirts of Gorlovka.

The sides have agreed more than 20 ceasefires since the start of the Donbass conflict, but no lasting truce was reached.
