Russian servicemen deliver 500 food packages to residents of Syria's Quneitra province

BEER AJAM, October 21. /TASS/. Russian servicemen have delivered and handed over 500 food packages to residents of the Beer Ajam settlement in the Syrian province of Quneitra, head of the group on humanitarian aid delivery Vladimir Vadeynov told reporters on Sunday.

Around 200 people residing in the settlement received humanitarian aid. Before the war, Beer Ajam was home to around 1,800 people. "Food packages include flour, rice, sugar and canned meat," Ladeynov said.

Russian servicemen also brought a wheelchair for a senior resident who lost his legs to diabetes three years ago.

According to the Center of reception, distribution and accommodation of refugees in Syria, the Russian side has organized over 1,900 humanitarian operations as of October 14. Over 3,000 tonnes of food, necessities and bottled water were delivered and distributed. Doctors with the Russian Defense Ministry have provided medical assistance to over 95,000 people in Syria.
