Over 300,000 tourists to visit Kuban’s wineries in 2016

Which is 80,000 more that in 2015

KRASNODAR, November 21. /TASS/. Over 330,000 tourists are expected to visit the Krasnodar region’s wineries in 2016, which is 80,000 more that in 2015, the press service of the regional Ministry for Resorts, Tourism and Olympic Heritage told TASS on Monday.

“The number of tourists visiting wineries has been growing from year to year. In 2015, around 250,000 tourists visited enotourism facilities, while in 2016 their number has already grown to 330,000,” the press service said.

The ministry elaborated that much attention was being paid to this field recently. This past October the ministry’s Public Council adopted a Krasnodar agro-tourism development concept effective till 2020, which particularly includes enotourism.

As Russia’s Wine-makers’ Union President Leonid Popovich told TASS earlier, enotourism development would facilitate the development of the entire tourism industry in the country.
