The suspects are a 42-year old social worker and two Armenian nationals one of whom strangled the old woman to death

ST. PETERSBURG, December 13. /TASS/. Police in St. Petersburg have arrested three suspects of the murder of the oldest employee of the legendary Mariinsky Theater, the press service of the city’s Investigative Committee said on Wednesday.

"The body of the 93-year old woman who survived the siege of Leningrad was found in her apartment on November 21," the press service said in a statement.

The suspects are a 42-year old social worker and two Armenian nationals one of whom strangled the old woman to death. After that, they stole her credit card and an old photograph of a famous singer with his signature, the press service said.

"However, they failed to withdraw money from the credit card as they did not know its PIN," the statement said.
