Rammstein to play summer gig in Russia, roll out their first new album in nearly a decade

Rammstein will perform in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the summer of 2019 as part of their first-ever stadium tour

MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Rammstein, a German industrial-metal band, will perform in Moscow and St. Petersburg in the summer of 2019 as part of their first-ever stadium tour, a representative of the TCI concert agency told TASS on Friday.

The tour will kick off in May 2019 and the same month the group’s new (yet untitled) album will be released.

"It is almost ten years now that Rammstein fans have had to wait for the follow-up "Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da" (the band’s previous album - TASS)," the representative of the concert agency told TASS citing the statement on the band’s website.

The rockers will open their tour on May 27 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. After that, they will go to Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, the Netherlands, France, the UK, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Poland, Latvia, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Austria.

In Russia, Rammstein will take the stage at Moscow’s VTB Arena stadium on July 29 and at the Saint-Petersburg Stadium on August 2, according to the concert agency.

In December 2018, the band’s frontman, Till Lindemann will present his solo program "Messer" in Russia. The musician will play concerts in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Samara.

Lindemann founded Rammstein in 1994. Over their career, the band has sold over 35 mln copies of their albums. The musicians have earned widespread success and global recognition with such hits "Mutter", "Ich will" and "Feuer Frei.".
