Earlier the police reported about 9 people dead and 10 injured.

Reuters reported citing a US security source that investigators considers terrorism as the most likely motive behind a van attack in Toronto that killed nine people on Monday. According to the source, there is no reason to believe that the incident was an accident.

Earlier a van struck pedestrians on Monday local time in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area of North York in Toronto. Police confirmed that the van has been located and the driver, a 25-year-old resident of Richmond Alek Minassian, is in custody.
