ZHUKOVSKY, July 19. /TASS/. Launch of Egyptsat-A satellite for Egypt is scheduled to 2019, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Russia’s RSC Energia corporation Alexander Derechin said on Wednesday.
"The launched is planned for 2019," the top manager said.
Egyptsat-A should replace EgyptSat-2 satellite made by Russia earlier, communication with which was lost in April 2015. The new satellite will have an improved optical-electronic system and onboard control package, a high speed onboard radio link and enhanced solar batteries.
