MOSCOW, January 20. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Tuesday held a phone conversation with US Secretary of State John Kerry, in which he stressed the necessity of the soonest possible cessation of fire in Ukraine, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The conversation was held on the American side’s request.
“When discussing Ukrainian problems, the minister stressed the necessity to cease fire as soon as possible and start withdrawing heavy armaments of the conflicting sides from the line of contact in line with the Minsk agreements,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
