MOSCOW, January 15. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is not yet planning to visit Venezuela, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.
“No return visit to Venezuela is planned yet,” Peskov told TASS answering the question whether Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro invited his Russian counterpart to Caracas.
The two countries’ leaders held talks on Thursday in Putin’s Moscow Region residence in Novo-Ogaryovo. Peskov said they discussed intensification of joint projects, including in the energy sphere.
Putin paid a visit to Venezuela only once - in April 2010, when he held the post of Russia’s prime minister.
