MOSCOW, January 21. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is convinced that sufficient measures are being taken to ensure security at the Winter Olympics in the southern Russian city of Sochi. The foreign minister has made a statement to this effect at a news conference devoted to the results of Russian diplomatic work in 2013 in the Russian capital on Tuesday.
“I am convinced that sufficient measures are being taken,” he noted.
Lavrov recalled that special control centre already operates in Sochi. The special control centre includes representatives of almost all countries, athletes from which will compete at the Winter Olympics.
