TBILISI, January 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Georgia is ready to make contribution to ensuring security at the Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi, Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili told a news conference on Thursday.
“The United States and European countries cooperate with Russia to ensure security at the Olympic Games in Sochi. We’ll also seek to make contribution in this aspect if we can. Why not! We’re ready to cooperate with international partners,” the Georgian premier said.
Last year Georgia “reinforced security measures all over the territory of the country in order to avoid any violations”, he said, adding “Such measures are effective now and this will be done till the end of the Olympic Games in Sochi”.
