MOSCOW, September 9 (Itar-Tass) - The low voter turnout of Muscovites - according to preliminary data, about 30 percent - in the Moscow mayoral elections, can be explained by their imperfect timing. This opinion was expressed by acting mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin at a meeting with journalists. “As far as the voter turnout is concerned, the turnout in Moscow is not much worse than in other regions,” he said, noting that “the very time period is not very good for the elections.”
