Russia’s top diplomat believes Trump set to normalize relations with Moscow

The Russian top diplomat comments on Moscow-Washington relations

HANOI, March 23. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov believes that US President Donald Trump is set to normalize relations with Russia in spite of everything.

"The policy line of US President Donald Trump is aimed at normalizing relations with Russia and building interaction in the interests of all, in spite of everything," the Russian foreign minister told reporters in Hanoi on Friday.

‘The appointment of John Bolton [as the national security adviser for the US president] is an internal affair of the United States," Russia’s top diplomat said.

US President Trump announced on Twitter on Thursday about the resignation of his national security adviser Herbert McMaster and the appointment of former US Permanent Representative to the UN John Bolton to this post.

As the US president said, "an official contact handover" will take place on April 9. Experts believe that the resignation of a key presidential adviser will be just a part of upcoming personnel reshuffles in the US administration in relation to other high-ranking officials.
