GENEVA, February 27. /TASS/. A meeting of Russian representatives with a delegation of Syria’s High Negotiations Committee has been scheduled for February 28, a source familiar with progress in preparations for the meeting has told TASS.
"The meeting is expected on Tuesday," he said.
Earlier on Monday Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov, who had arrived in Geneva for a meeting of the high-level segment of the UN Human Rights Council, said that Russia was prepared to maintain contacts with all parties to the intra-Syrian talks.
On February 23 Russia’s envoy to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, Aleksey Borodavkin, said that the director of the Middle East and North Africa department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Sergey Vershinin, would arrive in Geneva on February 27 for consultations with delegations to the talks over Syria.
