LIMA, November 17. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will take part in the session of the ministers of foreign affairs and trade of the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) member countries. The session will become the final accord before the APEC summit.
Lavrov is expected to meet with US State Secrtary John Kerry on the sidelines of the session.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said earlier that APEC ministerS will consider issues of promoting regional economic integration, facilitating small business, developing human capital and food market, and coordinate future tasks.
The Russian side will place particular emphasis on the importance of stepping up cooperation on the counter-terrorist track in the interests of security of economic development in the Asia Pacific.
After the meeting, the participants will adopt a joint statement and coordinate the draft final Leaders’ Declaration.
