BISHKEK, November 3. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has met with Kyrgyzstan’s President Almazbek Atambayev on the sidelines of the Council of heads of government of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries in Bishkek.

Medvedev thanked Atambayev for hospitality and passed him regards from Russian President Vladimir Putin. "We have a multilateral event in the framework of SCO at the level of heads of government today, and we will hold it. Thank you for an opportunity to work," the Russian prime minister said at the meeting.

Welcoming Medvedev, Atambayev said that Kyrgyzstan’s leadership and Russia are connected by truly friendly relations. "We are connected by very warm, even friendly rather than business relations. I am very pleased to see you not only as prime minister of great Russia, but also as my friend, as a good person," Kyrgyzstan’s president said.
