MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. Russia will be prepared to conduct a dialog with any US presidential candidate, provided the partner has the intention to cooperate, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the media on Wednesday, when asked about US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s statement about the possibility of his visit to Russia.
"Russia is looking forward to good relations. It is in search of interaction and cooperation and, respectively, Moscow will be prepared to make a positive response to any intentions to conduct a dialog," Peskov said.
Peskov recalled Putin’s statement to the effect he would be ready "to welcome and have contacts with any candidate who is for the development of relations and dialog between our countries."
Earlier, Trump said that if he emerged the winner in the US presidential election in November, he would be prepared to meet with the Russian head of state before his inauguration.
