MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted the importance of implementing the United Nations resolutions on combating terrorism at the meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Saturday.
The Ministry noted that Lavrov particularly emphasized the need for consistent implementation of the relevant UN resolutions related to combating Islamic State, Jabhat an-Nusra and other terrorist groups, to the fastest possible end to the violence, restoring peace and stability in Syria, based on respect and guarantees of legal rights for all ethnic and religious groups within the country.
