MOSCOW, April 27. /TASS/. Russia calls on the European Union to influence Ukraine to implement the Minsk Agreements, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday after negotiations with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides.

"We reconfirmed our wish for the European Union leaders, chiefly Germany and France as participants of the Normandy Format, to influence Kiev’s authorities," he said.

Lavrov highlighted that Russia sees no other alternative to the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis "save through a diligent and gradual implementation of the Minsk Agreements."
