GUANGZHOU, October 29. /TASS/. Russian and Chinese media will expand the exchange of opinions in the sphere of new media, as well as of resolving problems of internet security, Alexey Volin, Russian Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media, said on Saturday at the 1st Russian-Chinese Internet Media Forum.

"New horizons are opening for Russian-Chinese cooperation in the media sphere," Volin said. "We are expanding cooperation in new media, this responding not only to modern technological challenges but also to changing media consumption," he added.

"The main topics for discussion at the forum will be information exchange, modern ways of producing and distributing multimedia content, approaches to national internet regulation, as well as problems of internet security. In all these spheres, our countries have something to show and tell each other about, to share," the deputy minister noted.
