MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. Gazprom discussed interaction in the field of hydrocarbons exploration and production and LPG with China’s CNOOC (China National Offshore Oil Corporation), the Russian gas holding said on Monday.
A working meeting between the Chief Executive Officer of Gazprom Alexei Miller and CNOOC President Liu Jian was also held on Monday.
"Potential areas of joint work were discussed during the meeting. In particular, exploration in the sphere of hydrocarbons exploration and production and LNG sphere was reviewed in particular," Gazprom said.
CNOOC is one of three largest oil and gas companies in China. The company holds exclusive rights to oil and gas exploration in offshore China and is the largest LNG importer. Gazprom and CNOOC signed a memorandum of understanding in November 2014.
