Ukraine, China agree to start implementing $2.4bln currency swap

KIEV, January 22. /TASS/. Ukraine’s President Pyotr Poroshenko and China’s Prime Minister Li Keqiang agreed at a meeting in Davos on Wednesday to start implementing the agreements on a bilateral currency swap of 15 billion yuans ($2.41 billion) which had been signed earlier, the Ukrainian presidential press service said.

“The sides have agreed to strengthen contacts at the highest level between Ukraine and the People’s Republic of China,” it said. “The president invited China’s prime minister to visit Ukraine and also extended the invitation for China’s President Xi Jinping.”.
