WASHINGTON, October 13. /TASS/. VTB has not agreed yet with the Mechel mining and metal company on debt rescheduling, VTB head Andrey Kostin told reporters.
“No compromise has been reached yet. We keep the door open for negotiations,” Kostin said. A plan should be worked out to reach an acceptable debt level for the company, he added.
VTB does not agree just on rescheduling that will only postpone the problem and give some respite to the current management and owners to continue the same policy. The bank continues working with its suits in court, Kostin said, adding that Sberbank had also sued Mechel.
