Bank of Russia to start transactions with NWF assets from January 9

Purchases or sales of the foreign exchange will be made in the first half of 2024, the regulator said

MOSCOW, December 28. /TASS/. The Bank of Russia will start transactions in the domestic currency market related to replenishment and use of money from the National Wealth Fund (NWF) from January 9, the regulator says.

"Since January 9, 2024, the Bank of Russia in accordance with the earlier announced procedure will start transactions in the domestic currency market, related to replenishment and use of resources of the National Wealth Fund, including with consideration of all transactions made with NWF assets in 2023," the Central Bank indicates.

Purchases or sales of the foreign exchange will be made in the first half of 2024, the regulator said.
