NKorean leader’s activity in focus of world attention

American CNN television put the North Korean leader among ten most famous people of the globe

PYONGYANG, October 1 (Itar-Tass) — Foreign media outlets closely follow “the revolutionary activity of Kim Jong Un,” the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reports on Monday.

According to the North Korean news agency, starting from September 2010 when the third conference of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held, over 200,000 foreign newspapers, magazines and websites have placed photographs of the North Korean leader.

Iran’s central television called the promotion of Kim Jong Un at the party conference to a senior position “among the major events of 2010”. At that time television footages in many countries showed the North Korean leader.

About 200 foreign reporters covered the military parade marking the 100th birth anniversary of Kim Il Sung in Pyongyang on April 15, when Kim Jong Un made his first public speech. Articles devoted to that event were published under the headlines “Era of Kim Jong Un Begins in Korea,” “Kim Jong Un Confirms Commitments to Songun (Military First) Policy” and “Kim Jong Un Calls for Decisive Victory of Korea”.

American CNN television put the North Korean leader among ten most famous people of the globe, while the Time magazine in February placed a photo of the North Korean leader with a special commentary, KCNA said.

On the whole, according to the news agency the activity of Kim Jong Un “constantly attracts attention of foreign press and remains in the focus of global policy”.
