YAKUTSK, April 2. /TASS/. Yakutia will present several transport projects at the Arctic: Territory of Dialogue forum in St. Petersburg on April 9-10, the regional Ministry of Transport told TASS on Tuesday.
"Yakutia’s representatives will speak at the forum about the region’s main transport problems and ways to improve the region’s transport network," the ministry said. "The region will present the project to build a bridge across the Lena, which will change transport routes in East Siberia and in the Far East, and separate reports will touch upon development of regional aviation services."
Investors will learn about a project to build the Zhatai shipyard.
"We hope to sign cooperation agreements with the Baltic and Sredne-Nevsky Shipyards on training and exchange of experience," the authority’s representative continued. "We expect our shipyard’s specialists will take training and practical courses at those shipyards."
The International Arctic Forum - Arctic: Territory of Dialogue - is a key platform for discussing the Arctic region’s problems and development at the international level. The event was organized for the first time in 2010. The 5th ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ International Arctic Forum will take place in St. Petersburg on April 9-10, 2019.
