Russian PM hopes to sign visa agreement with Belarus in near future

Earlier, the two sides signed almost 30 agreements during the session of the Council of Ministers

BREST, December 13. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev hopes that Russia and Belarus will sign an agreement on mutual recognition of visas in the near future.

"Today, we have signed many different documents, one of them [on mutual recognition of visas] remains unsigned, but I hope that in the near future, all procedures will be over and this document will be ready to be signed. Especially because it is dedicated to a very important issue, on which we have been working recently," the Russian PM told reporters on the outcomes of the session of the Union State Council of Ministers.

Twenty-eight agreements were signed during the current session of the Council of Ministers, including an ordinance on the results of trade and economic cooperation for January-September 2018, on Union State budget execution for the year 2017, on changes and additions to the 2018 budget and on the 2019 budget project.

Russia and Belarus also signed documents in the military, agricultural, energy and economic spheres, as well as documents on joint combating of terrorism and cooperation on the migration issue.
