MOSCOW, December 1. /TASS/. The International Army Games-2018 are scheduled to be held from July 28 to August 11, said Lt. Gen. Ivan Buvaltsev, chief of the Main Directorate of combat training of the Russian Defense Ministry.

"The international stage of Army Games-2018 will include 29 competitions. They will be held at 23 training ranges from July 28 to August 11," the official said in an interview with the Defense Ministry’s official Zvezda newspaper published on Friday.

He did not specify what nations will take part.

The 2017 International Army Games were held at 22 test ranges in Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and China from July 29 to August 12. More than 150 teams from 28 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America took part.

Russia topped the unofficial medal count of the Games.
