Russia’s Aerospace Force to receive about 130 aircraft in 2017 — commander

According to the commander, the Space Force will receive more than 50 items of armament, military and special hardware

MOSCOW, March 15. /TASS/. Russia’s Air Force making part of the country’s Aerospace Force will receive about 130 various aircraft this year, Aerospace Force Commander-in-Chief Colonel-General Viktor Bondarev said on Wednesday.

"Overall, the Air Force will receive about 130 aircraft while the Air and Missile Defense Command will get about 200 pieces of armament, military and special hardware this year," Bondarev said in an interview with Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

According to the commander, the Space Force will receive more than 50 items of armament, military and special hardware, including a satellite, an optical-electronic outer space control system, 15 space communications stations, five ground-based automated space vehicle control complexes, and also two carrier rockets.
