MURMANSK, March 10. /TASS/. The Russian Northern Fleet’s submarines Yuri Dolgoruky and Obninsk held an exercise to fire torpedoes against an underwater target, the fleet’s press office reported on Friday.
"The crews of the strategic missile cruiser Yuri Dolgoruky and the multipurpose nuclear submarine Obninsk performed this exercise in a duel option," the press office said.
The fire was conducted using ordinary torpedoes without warheads. During the combat drills, each submarine fired one such torpedo. After the exercise, the torpedoes were lifted by a torpedo recovery boat.
